About Marva
With 30 years of experience in the OCDSB, Marva has served as a teacher, curriculum coach, Vice Principal, Principal and system leader. During her 19-year tenure as a Principal, she focused on creating inclusive and culturally responsive programs, nurturing a supportive and diverse environment for students to thrive. She's also taught future educators at the University of Ottawa. Most recently Marva served as centrally assigned Principal of Equity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression at the OCDSB. Her leadership centers on leading and supporting equity of opportunity and equitable outcomes for students, strengthening community engagement and creating a culture of collaboration and shared leadership.
