COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Vaccination is a key measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect others who may be unable to get the shot.  

Everyone six months or older at the time of their appointment is currently eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccinations are now available for all students. Anyone starting kindergarten this fall or students who have not yet been vaccinated can sign up to get their shot as a further protection. The Province of Ontario has expanded eligibility for COVID-19 booster doses for children 5 and over; they can now receive a booster dose six months after their primary series. Appointments at Ottawa Public Health clinics can be booked via the provincial booking system.

OCDSB Vaccination Information

Students: Vaccines are not mandatory for OCDSB students.

Staff and Visitors: Vaccines are no longer required for OCDSB staff and visitors.

On March 9, 2022, the Government of Ontario announced updated provincial measures in response to COVID-19. These changes included eliminating mandatory vaccine attestation for school district employees and removing required testing for unvaccinated employees.

On March 14, 2022 at a special meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Board decided to rescind mandatory vaccine policies for employees and for regular visitors.

Staff, visitors, and students continue to be required to complete the daily COVID-19 screening prior to attending school.
