The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board hosted the All About High School virtual information session for Grade 8 to 11 students and their families, and staff on Thursday, December 8, 2022, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. This virtual conference, organized by OCDSB’s Innovation and Adolescent Learning team, provided details about all aspects of high school.
Students and families discovered the curriculum and subject areas available, as well as the various programs and supports the OCDSB offers to all secondary students. Instructional coaches facilitated 15-minute presentations, allowing students/families time to ‘visit’ various subject areas, programs and supports.
The sessions had live captions in multiple languages and also had live translation for these languages: Arabic, Farsi, Somali, Mandarin, Korean, Dari, Hindi, Pashto and Urdu.
