Hello Students,

Just letting you know secondary report cards for semestered schools will be emailed to families and eligible students on Monday, April 29th, 2024. You need to enter the Ontario Education Number (OEN) to access your report card.

2024 Student Survey

We are nearly halfway through the survey period for our 2024 Student Survey. Many students have now completed their survey but we’re hoping to increase participation over the final few weeks.

This information will help us address topics including safety, bullying, mental health, learning and student achievement. To ensure we can have the greatest impact, we need to hear from as many students as possible. You’ll have time to do it at school or you can do it on your own time if you want. Just check your email for a link. The survey closes May 10th.

Why does identity matter? We asked students. Follow us on Instagram and visit our reels where we will be sharing videos of what some students had to say.

Elementary Program Review - Student Voice

We’ve launched a consultation about our elementary program structure. It's a  comprehensive review of all six of our elementary program areas, along with special education and supports for multilingual learners. Are you interested in sharing what your experiences were during your elementary years? We’d like to hear from you. Your feedback will help us prepare potential model(s) for consideration moving forward. So check out our Engage OCDSB and let us know what you think we’re doing well and where we can improve.

Engage OCDSB: Share Your Feedback on Our Board Policies

What is a board policy? A policy is a statement or position adopted by the Board that provides the framework for a course of action. What does that have to do with you? Well, we are currently looking at revisions to the policy on Cooperative Education and Experiential Learning. The proposed changes would provide more opportunities for paid Co-Op placements, placements that reflect different pathways, identity-specific Co-Op opportunities, and more. So if you’re interested in providing your thoughts, you can participate in this and other consultations on Engage OCDSB until May 10.

Coming Soon: Mental Health Week Wellness Challenge

The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority is asking students to share their appreciation for your yellow school bus, wheelchair bus, or van driver by creating a thank you card or a poster for Driver Appreciation Day on June 1st. You can drop them off to your school office by May 28th.
