OCDSB to host Technology and Trades Event: A Pathway for all Students on Feb 24, 2022

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is hosting its second annual Technology and Trades Event: A Pathway for all Students, a virtual post-secondary education opportunities event for Grade 7-12 students, their families and staff. This virtual information session, being held on February 24, 2022, from 3:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., is a great opportunity for students, parents & guardians to explore career pathways in the skilled trades and technology sectors.

This virtual conference will include exciting presenters and a variety of booth exhibitors, all sharing career pathways in the skilled trades and technology. The event will include Paul Lafrance (HGTV - Deck Guy) and Promise Lafrance who will be sharing their own experiences and successes in a career in the skilled trades. Students requiring workplace accommodations will learn about workplace entry options by our experienced community partners.

This event is being organized using an online platform called vFAIRS that will allow participants to visit a plenary hall, exhibitors’ hall and seminar rooms, as they would if this were in-person.

To view the presenters, the booth exhibitors and details on how to register for the event visit the OCDSB website
