Brett Reynolds Appointed OCDSB Associate Director of Education

November 8, 2017 – Ottawa – The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s leadership team is guided by the Director of Education and supported by the Associate Director. Together they form the leadership team with senior staff. Mr. Brett Reynolds will begin his new role as Associate Director, effective January 8, 2018.

Mr. Reynolds began his career with the OCDSB in 1996 as a secondary teacher and quickly moved into positions as department head, vice-principal and principal. In 2014, he became a Superintendent of Instruction and in addition to his family of schools responsibilities, he held portfolio assignments in Safe Schools, Emergency Preparedness, Secondary School Operations, Equity and Inclusion, Indigenous Education, Student Well-Being, and Student Leadership.  

Director of Education, Dr. Jennifer Adams, said, “Over the past 21 years, Brett has proven to be an educational leader with a strong focus on student learning and well-being. His detailed knowledge of the operational workings of the school district has always guided his decision-making and will be a key attribute to his success in his new role.”
